The Doggy Games France aims to optimize dog training to promote its adaptability to daily life and prevent the most common training and behavioral problems. Whatever the level of skill, sporting abilities, age or size, the activities are adapted to stimulate everyone's learning in a spirit that is both cooperative and competitive.
Preparation
to the games
The first days of this stay are dedicated to preparing for the games with around ten tests - created and conceptualized by Catherine Collignon and Nicolas Ducasse - exploring the cognitive abilities of dogs through recall, running, object reporting or even olfactory research. If your dog is not performing well or if you doubt his ability to listen, obey or behave well, it does not matter, because the least performing dogs are often the funniest and most exciting. So there is no problem in not having the right dog at the right time when you arrive at DOGGY GAMES FRANCE.
Musical Chairs
To the tune of music, you will walk your dog around a rectangle. When the music stops, you will position your dog and go sit. The lessons covered are: “Stay”, walking with/without a leash, socialization and excitement management.
The Treasure Hunt
Your dog will have to bring back toys in a given time. Difficulties can be added depending on the level of the dog and at the request of the judge. The skills worked on are : “Fetch”, “Bring”, “Give” and sharing resources.
The Olfactory Quest
Your dog will have to use his sense of smell to find a scent hidden in a box in the middle of a delimited space filled with hiding places of different shapes and colors. The learnings worked on are: "Wait", "Search", "Designate" and autonomy.
The Rush Challenge
Your dog will run from point A to point B over a longer or shorter distance. He will have to sit down next to you as quickly as possible.
The learnings worked on: “Sitting”, recall, familiarization, speed of execution and relationship.
And many other games to discover for this 2024 edition
Journée de
compétition
Our team of professional educators specializing in positive education is here to help you bring him to the best of himself during the 5 days of preparation workshops to bring him to the best of his ability on D-Day, that of friendly competitions. Remember that at Animalin, we love disobedient dogs, who only do what they want, fortunately they are there to amuse us. And after all, it might be time to put things into perspective because wanting to be with your dog and for your dog to want to be with you, isn't that, after all, the main goal to achieve? If he doesn't lie down at the right time, it doesn't matter, he'll do better next time, we'll help you give him the means to do so.

The origin of dog games
Initiated in the 70s by Dr. Ian Dunbar, an English veterinarian, under the name K9 Games, the Doggy Games France organized by Catherine Collignon and Nicolas Ducasse, managers of the Animalin Center, are inspired by the K9 Games spirit and are proposing a 2023 edition! Convinced of the merits of canine games, it was in 2009 that for the first time in France, the Animalin Center, under the leadership of Catherine Collignon, invited Dr. Ian Dunbar, who agreed to travel from Berkeley, United States, to Toulouse, to host K9 Games. At the time, 50 dogs and 50 handlers came together around positive and festive canine education to challenge themselves around educational games.
